You've
graduated from college, earned your degree, and are ready to take on the world.
Only, you weren't expecting to do it alone were you? In your "once upon a
time" world were expecting to meet that special someone at college and
move from there fully supported, protected, and guided. After all it would be
his responsibility to provide for you, and you- well you would be free to
pursue your career or settle down into keeping house if you so desired. But there
are never two stories alike. That is what makes life an adventure. So you have
been handed your adventure, now what do you do with it?
1. Embrace it.
You have
been given an awesome opportunity to take a “deer trail” off the well- traveled
path. You will have the opportunity to experience what others can’t. So except
it with arms open wide, and don’t live like a victim in desperate straits. Like
C.S. Lewis stated in his Chronicles of Narnia, “Let us take the adventure that
[God] has set before us.”
2.
Learn from it.
You will
never go through something for nothing. For every time there is a purpose and reason.
The lessons you learn will form you. One way or the other you will become who
God intended you to be. Depending on how quickly you learn, depends on the
quantity of what you are able to learn.
3.
Share it.
You don’t
just learn for you. You are learning for others. You have the opportunity to
blaze a trail for others to follow. What you go through will encourage others
to press forward and not give up. The wisdom God allows you to learn can be
passed down either to aid others in not make the same mistakes you have or in
responding correctly as you did. Jesus came to be our example as well as our
Savior. We as His followers can do no less.
Don't let your fear hold you back. Take the adventure set before you, and be who you were created to be.
